COMMISSIONS

The artist works from clear, candid photographs. Whenever possible,
Janina will photograph the subject. However, alternative reference
material is acceptable within copyright guidelines.

When ordering, please feel free to offer ideas on desired poses,
color, mood, etc.
Framing style should also be considered at the time of ordering.
Artwork may be ordered unframed or framed. Frame prices available upon request.
A 50% deposit is required at the time of placing an order, please.
Preliminary sketches may be necessary to select a final composition. The balance of payment is due upon receipt of the painting.
Shipping charges vary according to weight and size of the artwork.

Portrait Ordering Procedure

Mail or email as many as possible photographs to the artist. Send good
quality images, the clearer the detail the better.

Indicate the size required (Janina will provide a list of standard canvas
sizes custom sizes will require an additional fee, if the canvas is very big
and cannot be shipped flat, it could be shipped in tube) and any special
instructions or customizations to be done, such as removing tack,
background changes, etc.
Shipping charges are not included in the portrait price and will vary by
canvas size and destination. A specific quote will be provided during
the ordering arrangements.

A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to begin work, payable by PayPal.

Allow at least 3 weeks for the portrait to be completed, although portraits
are generally completed much more quickly.

Upon completion the artist will send an image of the portrait by email or through the mail for approval or any changes.

After approval, the buyer will complete payment arrangements. Shipment will take place after the balance due is paid.

Meet the Painter

Janina's careers with horses and painting sprang from a childhood of riding and art in her native Poland. Her path to Spain led her through residency in Finland.

Janina is unique at capturing a horse's character on film, whether formally posed, turned out in a field, or under saddle. A graduate of Krakow Academy of Visual Arts, she sees through the lens with the eyes of a painter.

Janina is in great demand for her commissioned portraits. In her paintings she combines her love of motion, colour and composition with attention to the details that make up the personality of the horse. A life-long rider and observer of horses, she has an in depth knowledge of equine anatomy and how it translates to canvas and paper. Her oils, watercolours and graphite's hang in the homes of satisfied clients on the coast as well as in Finland, Germany, Poland, Italy, Great Britain, USA, Canada, New Zealand.
